I know I just posted about salads, but I like this salad too much to put it off! It’s a simple spinach salad with crunchy bean sprouts, button mushrooms, tomato, and avocado, but it’s alllll about the sweet ‘n’ tangy dressing! This recipe is just slightly adapted from my Aunt!

On another note, is it weird that I’m already excited for Halloween? I already ordered my costume from online….it should be here in the next few days!! Can’t wait to show you all!

Annnnnnd I have some very exciting news as of about October 1st. Just wait and see 😉

Spinach Salad


  • 1/2 cup brown sugar
  • 1/3 cup vinegar (1/2 white wine vinegar, 1/2 red wine vinegar)
  • 1/2 vegetable oil
  • 1/3 cup ketchup (I’ve used my homemade, as well as regular before)
  • 1 Tbsp worcestershire sauce

Blend until smooth in a hand blender.


  • Spinach
  • Bean sprouts
  • Button mushrooms, chopped
  • Avocado, sliced
  • Water chestnuts
  • Lots of pepper and salt

Combine in amounts to your liking. Top with dressing. Enjoy!

    This is such a yummy salad. The dressing absolutely makes it! Love the sweet tang of it and the bean sprouts add a fresh crunch.

  • Oh, that salad looks so good! I love how refreshing a flavorful a fresh salad can be! I’m glad that somebody else out there is uber excited about Halloween, other than me! Fall is my favorite season by far, people think I’m a bit odd. Oh well! Can’t wait to hear your exciting news…and see your costume!
