India – Part Three – Goa

    March 23, 2017 / 1 Comment

The final installment of my trip to India ends in Goa, a state in Western India on the coast of the Arabian Sea. I fell in love with Goa and it was the perfect spot to end our trip with some rest and relaxation. It was 33-40 degrees each day and we lounged under our beach huts while drinking and eating the day away. When it got just too hot to bear we would take a dip in the Arabian Sea. The water was like a bath tub and there were no shells, seaweed or rocks in sight. It was heaven! We stayed in an area called Arambol Beach and…

India – Part Two – Varanasi

    March 9, 2017 / 1 Comment

Our second stop in India was Varanasi, just a quick one hour flight from Delhi. Varanasi is one of the oldest continuously inhabited cities in the entire world, dating back to 2000 BCE. India – Part One – Delhi

    March 3, 2017 / 2 Comments

I just got back from a 2-week vacation in India and it was unbelievable. I went with a bunch of my bestest friends as well as my boyfriend to see our best friend Taylor get married. What an amazing experience!! We flew into Delhi on a direct flight from Vancouver…which equates to 14 hours of hell when you can’t fall asleep on the plane! We took a bus to Tender Heart NGO in Faridabad, the school we would be staying at for the first week of our trip. Taylor had volunteered at Tender Heart for ‘6 weeks’ a couple of years ago. ‘6 weeks’ quickly turned into 6 months and…
