  • The Wicked Healthy Cookbook Review and Recipe

If you follow me on Instagram, you may have heard me yelling about the awesomeness of the Wicked Healthy Cookbook by Chad and Derek Sarno. I have been a fan of these guys for several years now and a follower of their Wicked Healthy blog. The Sarno brothers are plant-pushers and are taking vegan cooking to an entirely new level. I would say the recipes in this cookbook take a fair amount of preparation and may require some ingredients you may not be able to find at a ‘regular’ grocery store but I can also say that every minute of preparation will be entirely worth it. These recipes are FIRE!!!!!…

Virtuous Pie – Plant Based Pizza Joint And Creamery

I recently had the pleasure of trying out Vancouver’s only plant-based pizza joint and creamery. I had been hearing so much about “Virtuous Pie“, I knew I had to get there as soon as I possibly could. I love the entire concept of Virtuous Pie. Their mission is to change the way people eat and change the planet, one slice (or scoop!) at a time. Owner and executive chef Jim Vesel’s aim was to create an ethical and sustainable menu without sacrificing great taste. I believe he has accomplished just that. The eight pizzas offered on the menu contain creative and delicious combinations of ingredients and the house-made nut-based cheeses…

    Annelie’s Raw Food Power- Review

I was sent a book a few weeks ago called “Annelie’s Raw Food Power” by Annelie Whitfield. Upon receiving it, I was so excited. After tearing my eyes away from the stunning photographs, I learned that Annelie is a naturopath and herbalist who actually got up and moved her entire family from London to the jungles of Costa Rica- how cool is that. The book features absolutely amazing raw food recipes that her family enjoyed in Costa Rica. Let me just say, that these recipes are nutrient powerhouses. I’m so fond of all the ingredients Annelie uses, including hemp seeds, goji berries, coconut, fresh fruit and vegetables, buckwheat, raw honey,…
