A few days ago a package arrived in the mail, and it was probably the most exciting thing that has ever happened to me. Why? Because it was filled with So Delicious dairy-free cashew frozen desserts and coconut whipped cream! Thank you So Delicious!!
I’ve been trying out the three different flavours they sent, and it’s been a very tough job 😉 But seriously, they are all amazing. The first one I polished off was the Salted Caramel Cluster ice cream. It was the bomb- and I would not just say that unless it was 100% true. My parents tried it too and they loved it and both came to the conclusion that it tasted like a regular maple-pecan ice cream. I don’t see how anyone could not be into this. You would never know that it’s dairy-free. I had mine with a side of local raspberries because…balance? Hah.
The chocolate truffle flavour was so rich and even had little truffle-y swirls in it. I’m actually not one to ever pick chocolate ice cream as my top choice, and I was pretty surprised at how much I liked this one. I topped it with coconut whipped cream and cherries. The whipped cream is pretty awesome….I could eat it by itself. It’s almost like a dairy-free version of Cool-Whip. You can store it in the freezer and thaw it out in the fridge when you need it. You can even re-freeze it afterwards.
Lastly, the plain ‘cashew’ flavour was like a nice neutral vanilla. I think it would be great with some raw chocolate sauce, or in a banana split.
I would highly recommend giving these treats a try this Summer!
